Sunny's Notebook

I want to make art.

A manifesto.

I want to make art that does not paint anything, or anyone, in a good or bad light. The term "everything world" has been living in my head for a while now, as an alternative to phrases like "beautiful world" or "cruel world" that feels much more appropriate. I believe that, in reality, the world is both and neither of these things.

I want to make art that both shows and elicits the whole spectrum of human emotion. I want to show characters having the time of their lives, bawling their eyes out, or simply feeling nothing but content, and I want the audience to follow suit.

I want to make art that enables the audience to slow down and notice the beautiful mundanity of everyday life. I want to make them feel love for all things: A chair, glass, machines, wheels, even the loud music that we hear from the village.

I want to make art that changes someone's life and inspires them to become a better person; art that makes the audience more empathetic, caring, understanding, and kinder.

Most importantly, I want to make art that is as meaningful to others as it has been to me ever since, a few years ago, everything got too much and it saved my life.

I want to make art for a better world. Because that's something I can do.
